Iranian couple starring in new film

Iranian couple, Babak Hamidiyan and Mina Sadati, has been starring in Mani Baghbani’s latest film ‘Being and Time’ (Hasti va Zaman).

Speaking in an interview with Iranian media, the sound mixer Mehran Malakouti announced that he is collaborating with Baghbani in his latest project, noting that the movie is being filmed in Tehran.

The film's sound mixer added that ‘Being and Time’ is a social movie starring Hamidiyan and Sadati.

Hamidiyan was born in Tehran in 1980. He started his career by acting in theater.

He made his cinematic debut in ‘My Father's Farm’ in 2003.

Hamidiyan has also appeared in several movies, including ‘God is Near’, ‘Down-and-Out’ and ‘Hussein Who Said No’.

He was nominated for an Iran Cinema Celebration Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the film ‘Big Drum under the Left Foot’.

He won an Iran Cinema Celebration Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in ‘The Wrangler’.

The Iranian actor’s performances in ‘Hussein Who Said No’ and ‘Ch (Chamran)’ earned him two Crystal Simorgh awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Fajr International Film Festival.

His performance in ‘Hush! Girls Don't Scream’ earned him an Iranian Cinema Critics Association Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Meanwhile, Sadati has taken part in several movies, including Majid Majidi's ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.

The Iranian actress has also appeared in the movies such as ‘Mina's Choice’, ‘Walking through Ultramarine City’, 'Never', ‘Lonely in A Few Minutes of Silence', 'Ice Age’, ‘Rabidity’, ‘Snow’, ‘Africa’, ‘Sadat-Abad’, ‘Karat 14', 'Khargioush', and ‘Eve's Shoulder Wound’, as well as the TV series ‘Leila’s Loneliness’.
